I couldn’t find this model in the 57-62 catalogs, so I am assuming it might have been either custom project or built prior to 56. It looks to be about 19′ long. Check out the twin Mercs..
That is a 1957 Sport Star. 17′ 10″ L.O.A.. This picture was used in the 1957 brochure. The people in the picture are my dad, Art Rand and my mother Phyllis on the back seat. I’m not sure about the woman with the captains hat, but I believe her name may be Ruthie, who work at the HiLiner factory.
Just bought a 57 sport star with twin Johnson 35’s that is in beautiful condition. I am looking for more information on this boat though. Any knowledgeable people out there?

Hey Bob Rand,
Steve Hopping, we had great times on Long Lake and various adventures in your dad’s boats. Those are my memories of HiLiner boats.

Bob, Thanks for pointing it out. I had missed this in the 57 catalog.
You are correct, some of the pictures have the name ‘Ruthie” on the back.

Does anyone know of where to get the plans for the 20 ft hiliner?
